sweet

I've been on a kick of rescuing great photos from old layouts. I know some folks think it's a waste of time but I do whatever motivates me to craft.

This classic photo is of my sister and her baby boy.
I followed a sketch featured over at Paper Secrets. I used items from my Counterfeit Kit for May. The papers are from Night Light by October Afternoon.

The birds are by Colorbok. The clouds and balloon stamps are American Crafts. The bingo card is cut from 24/7 paper by Simple Stories.

My own little boy was crafting with me.

Counterfeit Kit- May

Late as usual.

I was still using my April kit just last weekend.

Papers are from Hello Sunshine by Lily Bee Design and Night Light by October Afternoon.

Die cuts, rub ons, stickers.

The bingo cards are from 24/7 by Simple Stories. Embellishments from Elsie, Sassafras and Colorbok. Stamps from Sandylion (I think), Sassafras, and American Crafts. Couple packs of Thickers... I like options!

the ranch

I hope all you mommies out there are having a great Mother's Day.

I woke up with fever today. However, my sweet husband and son have taken such good care of me today that it's hard to stay down for long.

I made this last weekend for NSD.
I was inspired by this two page layout by Jill Cornell. These pictures used to be spread across four pages but I just don't have enough real estate for all that. So, I scanned these old photos, edited and resized. When I buy new printer ink, I'm gonna print them again so they'll be brighter.

Anyway, I used papers from my Counterfeit Kit for April. You see lots of old Sassafras and Scrap Within Reach.

The title, some stamping and misting. The little banner chipboard pieces don't seem to match... but that's part of my ridiculous style.

My little boy loves rainbows.

The alien is a stamp from Crate Paper. I stamped him on Kraft and fussy cut. I love this little guy! He's perfect next to the photo of Chance carrying Pooh and then Daddy leading Chance along by the hand. *sigh*. Sweet times.

Some old brads by Making Memories. The doodling is a stamp from Orbit by Crate Paper.

love for dad

CONFESSION.

If I take a shower and get dressed, I cannot focus on crafting.
I must stay in my pajamas with messy hair and coffee teeth.

I've been poking at this layout for several weeks. I followed a sketch from Gotta Pixel. Papers are from This and That: Charming by Echo Park. The hexagon brads are from Prima. "love" stamp is an oldie but goodie by Heidi Swapp. Making the chain link banner wasn't as tedious as I thought it would be. Definitely worth it!

love bug

What better excuse for a layout than a bunch of candid photos?

I was inspired by Lizzy257's digital layout. I love her whimsical array of photos.

I used lots of items from my April Counterfeit Kit. Papers are from Urban Garden by Scrap Within Reach (discontinued collection and manufacturer). The decorative border piece is by Sassafras- another discontinued manufacturer.

How cute is this little guy?!! He is a stamp from Orbit by Crater Paper. I punched him out, inked the edges and topped with Stickles. The gear and brad are from Generation Z by Little Yellow Bicycle. The hexagon stamp is from The Sweetest Thing by My Mind's Eye.

"love" is a stamp by Heidi Swapp. "bug" letters are from Ad Lib by BoBunny. The clip is by Melody Ross. The foam sticker is Love, Else. The large brad is by Making Memories. The flower is Prima. The film strip is... Creative Imaginations?

Another alien from the same orbit collection! The fact that he is holding a toy and is next to a picture of my little boy holding his favorite toy... dumb luck. I really don't plan these things! The sentiment is from The Sweetest Thing stamps. The flower is a handmade leftover from a previous project- made with Heartfelt Creations stamps and dies.

"Just be you" and damask stamp on left are from The Sweetest Thing. The brads... I don't remember. The paper with numbers is from Sassafras. The arrow is textured Tim Holtz grungeboard.

Counterfeit Kit- April

I'm back this month with a kit full of old and new items from my stash! The inspiration kit this month is the Gossamer Blue March Kit. I love the bright colors so I pulled Sassafras (Monstrosity, Life is Beautiful, Anthem) and Scrap Within Reach (Urban Garden) for my kit papers. The alphas on the right are from Simple Stories.

I hardly ever touch my grungeboard stash. And why not? Check out these cute hearts, stars, and arrows! The transparency film has been stashed away for too long. The rainbow stickers are a recent find at Michael's. My little boy loves rainbows.

Two sets of stamps here, one new purchase and one old purchase. Also have a piece of chipboard, foam embellishments, and Basic Grey embellishments.
