Traveling with Chance

My travel theme for the Crop Chocolate DT Challenge. I was inspired by Vicky over at scrapbook.com.

We like to make up stories in lieu of reading a book at night sometimes. Adventure is key! We love rocketships and trains and we're either going to the moon or going to Grammy and Grampy's house. Our stories include a little boy who loves his mommy, shopping for the perfect vehicle, packing favorites snacks and UNDERWEAR! Boys.

The background paper is from Basics by Basic Grey. Most of the other papers are by Sassafras.

I used lots of embellishments (as always) to help tell the story. We like to go to the moon. Hopefully there won't be any scary aliens. The paper whimsy is by Sassafras. The moon rub on is by Paper Studio. The alien strip paper is by TPC Studios.

The little robot stickers are atd, I think? "This way to fun" is a stamp. The train is a rub on by Basic Grey from the Oliver collection.

The "routing guide" tag is by MME. The glazed brad is by BG. The Einstein sticker is from October Afternoon. The blue and orange sticker is from Like Father Like Son by Fancy Pants.

The quote on the left is a stamp by Teresa Collins. The swirlies are rub ons by BG. The monkey brad is from DCWV. I wrote the journaling with a micron pen.

Thanks, Amy!

Special thanks to Amy for passing on this blogger award to me :)

In order to accept the award, I must pass this on to 8 other stylish blogs (it will be my privilege to do so) and list 8 things about myself.

1. I can't hear you!
2. But I teach elementary music.
3. I love to stamp. Love. to. Stamp.
4. I run. A lot.
5. I drink too much coffee.
6. My house was always clean before I took up scrapbooking.
7. I have a little boy and he is so much fun!
8. I wish I had a green thumb. We might have the ugliest yard on the block.

More Digi Stamping, LYB, and Popcorn the Bear

Been playing with more digi stamps. I started with this sketch but finished the next two cards with this inspiration. You can see the details on her blog!

Stamp by Digital Tuesday. Paper by MME. Some machine stitching and gold brads by MM. Used pencils to color the image and blue chalk for the sky, cut with spellbinders. Border punch by Fiskars and corner punch by Paper Studio.

Found this adorable bird here! Colored with pencils and cut with spellbinders. Paper from Life is Good by Echo Park. One of my many purchases while shopping with my dear Kristin :)

A card featuring Clothesline by LYB. I was inspired by this beautiful card. You can see ClaudiafromGermany's extremely gorgeous blog here.

Isn't he cute?!! I heat embossed and watercolored him this time and I like the effect even more than when I used pencils. Click here to see him with pencils and click here to see a watercoloring tutorial.

Digital Stamping

I LOVE Digital Tuesday! Their digi stamps totally speak to me. I colored several images yesterday and got two of them onto cards. I used this beautiful card for inspiration. You can see her blog here.

These gorgeous papers are from At Home by DCWV. I colored the lady with pencils, the background is chalked with blue and she is topped off with stickles. I don't get my stickles out often enough! The bling is by Stephanie. I have a bow tutorial here and pencil tutorials here, here, and here

A beautiful, whimsical fairy in pink.

Same techniques, just difference image and colors. The papers from the Laundry Line by LYB, RAKed to me by my dear Kristin.

I had used these dimensional butterflies before but I was so displeased with the cards that I tore them apart. I rescued a lot of the red cs, the butterflies and their matting. I'm much happier with these. I used this adorable card for inspiration. You can visit her adorable blog here.

The papers and butterflies are from Wild Saffron by K and Company. The ribbon is from WRMK. The threading water punch is Fiskars.
