back to school

I just love shopping from my own stash to make a kit! Now, there's even a group on Facebook full of scrappers doing the same thing. This kit started with a bunch of fun odd bits RAKed to me from Wendy. From here, you can see Chic Tags, Studio Calico, Pink Paislee, Teresa Collins, October Afternoon, American Crafts... Okay, I'm tired LOL I had a Back To School photo in mind, so I included a few school themes.

I have scrapped this photo before but was terribly dissatisfied with the results. I'm not against tearing apart a layout, rescuing and reusing pieces.
I rescued and reused the banner, decorative border, journaling tag, and photo. I also rescued the bow, clip, the three stamped pieces, the die cut doily, part of the Bingo card, and the brads. Oh, and the back of the background paper is still totally usable!

This layout started out as a scrap lift for the Cocoa Daisy Summer 2014 Crop, but it looks nothing like the layout I chose to lift. All the while, I had circles and triangles stuck in my head from reading about Challenge #1. I do love scraplifting so I'll have to try that one again!

The triangle paper is Studio Calico. The star is from Recollections and the tab is from Fancy Pants.

The die cut is from Cricut- can't remember which cart. The triangle stamp is a Glitz roller doodle stamp. I kinda like the sequin trend. I have a teeny bag of them from Wendy and that's plenty!

How about them apples? Hehe. Those are from Maya Road. The little sticker is from Collecting Moments by Fancy Pants and the journaling card is from Carta Bella- I think.

I cut the tag from DCWV paper- Hittin' the Books. The flag banner is fussy cut from 24/7 by Simple Stories.

The little leaves are from Persimmon by Basic Grey. The triangle paper is from Travel Girl by October Afternoon. The flair? Ain't got a clue.

I actually did quite a bit of misting and stamping on the layout but most of it got covered up with my layers. How cute is that curly edge?!!

This little tag is from Basic Grey. I never get tired of them!

Thanks for stopping by!
