Mike Life Big Part II

I had this project for Heartfelt Creations hanging in the kitchen for photos and my husband made a big fuss over it. He thought it was soooo cool! I was sad to tell him we couldn't keep it. So, I promised to make another. More details about this one HERE.

My sister and I were shopping at Jo-Ann last week when we discovered this adorable Tweet Memories collection by Heidi Grace. I thought the colors would look great in my kitchen, which is currently an eclectic mess of red, green, and yellow. I used Tim Holtz jump rings to link all the panels. So easy!

Sorry about the photo quality. My kitchen is my camera's worst nightmare.

Each panel is 5x75 inches. I used thin chipboard (collected from the back of paper packs over the years) and layered with paper. I used the Making Memories Deluxe Tool Kit to punch holes in each piece for linking.

The tiny letters are Basic Grey. The "MAKE" alphas are Thickers. The epoxy button up in the left is from the Heidi Grace collection.

The fence is die cut from Garden Romance by Heartfelt Creations. The door is from Vintage Doors by Heartfelt Creations. The larger flowers are from Flirty Fleurs by Heartfelt Creations. The smaller ones are from Perfect Petal Class by Heartfelt Creations. I colored the flowers with Prismacolor pencils. The little bird is a sticker from the Heidi Grace collection.

I found this adorable fence in the craft wood aisle at Michael's. I used white acrylic paint on it. The felt clouds are by Pebbles. Check the clearance section at your Michael's for these cuties!

The bird and banner are stickers from the Heidi Grace collection. The house is another little treasure I found in the craft wood aisle at Michael's. I covered it with HG papers and buttons.

The clouds are stamped with Flirty Fleurs by Heartfelt Creations, punched with Fiskars cloud punches, and colored with Prismacolor pencils.

So, does my husband like this new one for our kitchen? Not really. He thinks it's "too cutesy." He thought my first one was "more classy."

The good news is, this piece will add some personality to our very boring half bathroom. I will be making ANOTHER for the kitchen and I'll have to use some other fabulous, cliche phrase.
Home Sweet Home? Suggestions appreciated.
