the day we celebrate

I love it when I discover the versatility of a themed collection. This layout is the first patriotic layout I made with a patriotic collection. However, I used it on a layout here and on a card here and neither are patriotic themed. This collection is really super. If you don't have it, I encourage you to try and get it.

I started with a sketch from Sketchabilities. Papers are from American Made by My Mind's Eye.

I used Archival Cobalt ink to stamp this swirly image from Fine and Dandy by MME. I topped with Ice Stickles. The hearts are from a Martha Stewart punch and I topped them with Glossy Accents.

This bit of texture is from Little Yellow Bicycle. I used a circle punch on the patterned paper to make it resemble a ticket.

A spray of sparkly Glimmer Mist. I also used doodling with a Micron pen to help define my layers.

The "arrows" are from an EK Success corner punch. I topped them with rub ons from DCWV. The striped piece is from a MME manufacturer strip.

Thanks for stopping by!
