Pink Collage

Yesterday, we ran around and did all kinds of fun things. We went to the park so the little guy could play while I ran 4 miles. We also went swimming and enjoyed Brat Fest in the evening. We snuggled down in the bed and watched Ice Age 2 for lots of laughs and giggles. I do love life with a little boy!

Today, we're still in our jammies at 2 pm and we've been having a crafty good time.

I've been hanging on to this LaBlanche stamp since 2011 and it's never been used. I picked out Butterfly Garden by Pink Paislee papers and colored the image with chalks to match. I drew inspiration from this card by DKravec. The little paper flowers are made with Posy Patch Flowers and Posy Patch Dies by Heartfelt Creations.

Little Boy has noticed all the American flags around the neighborhood and decided he would craft one up really special just for our house.
He used his own personal star punch and actually punched 50 stars! Don't blame me for the aliens. That was entirely his idea. I will say that I really like it :)

baby bear

It's Memorial Day weekend and I plan to use this extra time to play with my Counterfeit Kit.

Yes, I do all the usual family stuff, too. Go swimming, bake cookies, watch Free Willy, paint a wooden train, clean the kitchen, bribe the boy to clean up his toys, buy a TV (don't buy Westinghouse), repair the car...

Back to crafting.

I made up a song when my boy was just a wee baby and it's his most favorite song EVER. There's not much that this sweet song can't fix.

The papers are all from Night Light by October Afternoon. The stamps are from Sassafras and American Crafts. The little monster card is from Sassafras. The house feltie is from Colorbok/Heidi Grace. The @ is from Random by Crate Paper, I think. Lots of other bits and pieces from Sassafras, My Mind's Eye, Stickabilities, Little Yellow Bicyble, and Time Holtz.

I wrote the journaling with a Micron pen on this piece of Sassafras packaging.
The edge punch is EK Success.

Someone asked me how many layouts I expected to get out of my ginormous Counterfeit Kit. Well, I always hope for two hahahahaha! I just like to have options.

sweet

I've been on a kick of rescuing great photos from old layouts. I know some folks think it's a waste of time but I do whatever motivates me to craft.

This classic photo is of my sister and her baby boy.
I followed a sketch featured over at Paper Secrets. I used items from my Counterfeit Kit for May. The papers are from Night Light by October Afternoon.

The birds are by Colorbok. The clouds and balloon stamps are American Crafts. The bingo card is cut from 24/7 paper by Simple Stories.

My own little boy was crafting with me.

Late as usual.

I was still using my April kit just last weekend.

Papers are from Hello Sunshine by Lily Bee Design and Night Light by October Afternoon.

Die cuts, rub ons, stickers.

The bingo cards are from 24/7 by Simple Stories. Embellishments from Elsie, Sassafras and Colorbok. Stamps from Sandylion (I think), Sassafras, and American Crafts. Couple packs of Thickers... I like options!

the ranch

I hope all you mommies out there are having a great Mother's Day.

I woke up with fever today. However, my sweet husband and son have taken such good care of me today that it's hard to stay down for long.

I made this last weekend for NSD.
I was inspired by this two page layout by Jill Cornell. These pictures used to be spread across four pages but I just don't have enough real estate for all that. So, I scanned these old photos, edited and resized. When I buy new printer ink, I'm gonna print them again so they'll be brighter.

Anyway, I used papers from my Counterfeit Kit for April. You see lots of old Sassafras and Scrap Within Reach.

The title, some stamping and misting. The little banner chipboard pieces don't seem to match... but that's part of my ridiculous style.

My little boy loves rainbows.

The alien is a stamp from Crate Paper. I stamped him on Kraft and fussy cut. I love this little guy! He's perfect next to the photo of Chance carrying Pooh and then Daddy leading Chance along by the hand. *sigh*. Sweet times.

Some old brads by Making Memories. The doodling is a stamp from Orbit by Crate Paper.
