Baby and Flowers

I feel really good about the baby card stash I've built up. Can't wait to gift them next year!

Quilted Horse.
Papers from Grandma's Kitchen by WRMK and Fine and Dandy by MME. I love Fine and Dandy! I could eat it. I followed a sketch from the archives at Mojo Monday. Accented the card with a ribbon/bow by Prima and machine stitching.

This adorable digi is by Beccy. I've been having fun with her images lately! Colored with Prismacolor, Staedtler and Loew-Cornell pencils. I didn't get the coloring right but it's still good enough for a card so I used it anyway. I do have great intentions to do it again. After coloring, I cut it out with Cutterbee scissors and popdotted to a Spellbinders cut mat.

And three little yellow brads.

Baby Girl.
Papers from Life is Good by EP.

This adorable digi is by Bugaboo Stamps. Colored with Prismacolor pencils. I got a little... adventurous with the shading here. I do like how her skin and bottle turned out. On the bottle, I used a really pale grey/green and white.

Accented with three little pink brads and machine stitching. The trim is by Prima.

Bucket of Flowers.
I wish I had a green thumb so I could have things like this sitting around my yard. Some day. The papers are from Garden Variety/Material Girl by Cosmo Cricket. Ribbon from Chelsea's Place by MM.

Another digi by Beccy! I do like the way the bucket turned out. Everything else has... potential. Colored with Loew-Cornell pencils.

Machine stitching and three little rose gold brads.

So I had strips of scraps ready for the paper recycling when I got an idea! *lightbulb* I decided to use the pieces to decorate the inside matting. Ta Da! I used this idea for all three cards in this post.

Thanks for visiting!

Baby Cards, Mother's Day Cards

Baby Cards.

I need to build up my baby card stash for next school year (lots of babies every year). I was looking for something simple... yeah, right. Anyway, I searched high and low for the perfect digis and then finally realized I had the perfect Sandylion set in my "sale" pile. I rescued them and searched for inspiration at SCS. I LOOOOOOOVED what craftygirlfromMG did with the lion! The papers are used are from MME, Fancy Pants, and HL.

I stamped the lion with brown Stazon on a variety of pattern papers and on white. I cut his entire body and face from the pp and just the head/tail fluff from white.

Notice here that I just made a careful cut to get to the face.

Add some glue dots for a bitty bit of dimension.

Layer on the white pieces.

Foam dot.

Face from pattern paper.

Mother's Day Cards.

I needed a couple more quick cards. Once again, the word "quick" is a lost cause.

I loved this card by glowbug. I'm not usually in favor of things that don't run vertically but her card was so beautiful I decided to try it! The pp are Anna Griffin.  The sentiment stamp is by Delta. The BG stamp is by Fancy Pants. I cut the background shape with my Expression and doodled a border with a gel pen. Most edges are inked with black.

Beautiful flower by Stephanie. White and button trims from HL. That adorable button trim was RAK'd to me by Kristin. We like to make it a habit of just throwing fabulous supplies at each other :-)

Little roses by Prima. Butterflies and punched and topped with stickles and a pearl.

About the same. Now, the background on the sentiment piece is a FP clear stamp. I stamped it with sparkly Versamark and rubbed on pink shimmer chalk by Pebbles, Inc. Love Love Love that effect.

This flower is also by Stephanie.

Thanks for stopping by!

Baby, Fairy, Butterfly Cards

I'm a cardmaking fiend these days! 'Tis the season.

Baby. I needed a card for a very dear friend who is due in May. I followed a sketch I found at Mojo Monday. Sketch 184.
The pp are by K and Company. This is one of the oldest packs I own and one of the trustiest.

The image is from Digital 2 for Tuesday. I colored with pencils and topped with stickles.

This adorable sentiment clip is from Chloe's Closet by MM, which I purchased from Crop Chocolate.

I found this angel button at HL. I love how Andrea did her ribbon and I decided to try it on this card. I used Wacky Tape to beat it into submission. I used floss to stitch the button to the ribbon/card.

Fairy. Followed sketch 158 by Mojo Monday
Papers are by Anna Griffin. BEAUTIFUL, right?!! The blue butterflies have a soft texture.

ANOTHER digi from Digital 2 for Tuesday. Colored with pencils and topped with stickles. Cut with spellbinders. I cut the scalloped piece with my Expression.

I love sheer ribbon these days. And stick pins. The blue flower is by LYB.

Punched these butterflies from DCWV paper and topped with blue gem. Got the idea from j-jcreations.

Butterfly.
Papers by DCWV.

Butterfly by Recollections (Michael's brand).

I wish I had ten rolls of this brown and gold ribbon. I use it a lot. It's from the xmas collection of ribbon offered at Ms last winter.

Punched butterflies and topped with stickles/brown brads.

Thanks for checkin' in!
