Milk Carton Treat Box *Heartfelt Creations*

Aren't the colors in this paper collection DIVINE! I love the whole stack! This is a milk carton treat box, made entirely from HC cardstock. It's perfect for Holiday treats.

OTHER: Trimmer, bone folder, button, twine, binder clip, ribbon.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Choose a 7x11 piece of cardstock for the base and score at 2", 5" and 6 1/2" on the short side of the cardstock. Turn the cardstock 90 degrees and score at 2 1/2", 5", 7 1/2" and 10" on the long side of the cardstock. Position the cardstock with the long side closest to you. Now cut on vertical scores lines closest to you ( 2 1/2", 5", 7 1/2" and 10") up to the first horizontal score lines. Cut part of the 1" scored strip on the left hand side, leaving only the 3" piece to create a glue tab for the sides of the box. At the top of the box, cut the third panel from the left of the 1/2" x 2 1/2" rectangles off. This will be the spout. On the remaining three 1/2" x 2 1/2" panels, use a bone folder and trimmer track/scoring board to add a score down the middle of each panel. Use the ruler and bone folder to add diagonal score lines to the box as shown in the video. Use a bone folder to pre-fold all score lines, including the diagonal ones. Add glue to your glue tab. Adhere the glue tab inside to the opposite wall to form the box. Fold the bottom of the box and secure with glue to close the box. Add glue to the back half of the 1/2" panels at the top to hold the milk carton closed. Choose a decorate paper for the sides of the box. Cut to fit, ink and mat. Adhere to all four sides. Stamp, cut and ink the edges of the sentiment. Die cut the Decorative Metal Fixture. Fix the sentiment inside the Fixture and adhere to box. Attach a binder clip to the top of the box and add a bow. Finish with a button and twine.

Altered Clipboard *ScrapThat! August Kit*

I used the August Kit "Once Upon a Dream" from ScrapThat! to make this clipboard. The little cards with the clips can be pulled out of the pocket for notes. The black piece at the bottom is chipboard painted with Martha Stewart chalkboard paint- excellent for quick notes.

This clipboard is hanging in my kitchen and has been excellent for noting weekly appts and I've stashed a few important coupons in the pocket so I don't forget about them.

The fun tulle is from the kit. The button and tape are from my stash.

The border punch is Fiskars Sunburst. The gate and butterfly dies are from Spellbinders for Heartfelt Creations. The flower die cut is from my stash. 

The cream lace is from the kit and the green lace is from my stash.

Roses from the kit. Twine from my stash.

A variety of roses from the kit and my stash. The large flower with the teal base is accented with white acrylic paint. The chipboard butterfly, leaves, die cut, and gauze are from the kit.

I'm going to admit that this pink card totally stumped me when I first saw it in the kit. Then, I thought...

I need a card for Kacy. 

(my childhood friend that had a baby earlier this year)

She took some adorable pictures... maybe a mini album.

And I want to include a note. And maybe a gift card?

So, this project became a card, a gift, a keepsake, and a mini album all in one!

The top section with the notch cut (from a circle punch) has a pull out card tag thingy. The Webster's Pages paper in this kit had some great paper with lines! Perfect for tags and journaling.

 I did get permission from my dear childhood friend Kacy Estep to use photos 

that she had posted on Facebook.

I cut the sentiment from the manufacturer strip.

A few more pieces from the kit that ended up on the front of the project.

This lace is GORGEOUS but it was too large for the pink card. I cut off the top.

Papers are from 29th Street Market by My Mind's Eye. I stamped the Flirty Fleurs image with colored markers and colored in with chalk. Check it out in my video below!

To make the waterfall card, I followed this tutorial.

SUPPLIES:

STAMP(S) AND INK: Heartfelt Creations Flirty Fleurs. Heartfelt Creations Filler Leaves- unmounted. Colorbox. Versamark.

PAPER: My Mind’e Eye 29th Street Market

COLORING MEDIUM: Whispers markers by Sugarloaf. Shimmer chalk by Pebbles.

TOOLS: Making Memories Tool Kit Deluxe

EMBELLISHMENTS: Micron pen. Eyelets. Sewing machine. Twine. Tim Holtz.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Background: Purple cardstock is 4 1/8” x 5 6/8”. Ink the edges. Using the Filler Leaves stamp, stamp the edges in several places with Versamark ink. Use green chalk on stamped images. Ink the edges of the purple cardstock. Mat and glue to green cardstock.

Waterfall: Use purple and green brush tip markers to ink the floral stamp. Stamp onto white cardstock. Color with chalk. Repeat. Use a trimmer to cut four 1 3/4” squares from the two stamped images. Use the Micron pen to draw a border on each piece. Glue the four stamped squares to 2” mats. Next, cut a 2x9” strip from polka dot paper. From one end, score at 2, 2.75, 3.5, and 4.25 inches. Starting at the 2” scored section, carefully glue one of the stamped squares to the solid side of the polka dot cardstock. And the remaining three pieces to the .75”x2” sections.

Center the waterfall piece on the card. Do NOT glue. Secure with tape or magnets. Cut a strip from the striped paper and position with magnets. Add a dot of glue on each end. Do NOT glue the entire strip. The piece with the pull on it should move freely under the strip. Glue the stamped section to the top of the strip. Add eyelets to each side. Pull out the pull tab and install an eyelet. Reinsert the pull tab under the striped strip. Machine stitch around the edge of the card. I used a Tim Holtz safety pin, twine, and a Tim Holtz charm to create a pull.

Card base: Cut Cut a 9x6 inch piece of thick, white cardstock. I like textured CS for card bases. Score at 4.5. Attach the card front to the base.

I lifted Beverly Cole. I loved her stamping and the embossing. I don't use my embossing folders enough! I used my Swirly folder from Cuttlebug.
