Custom Album for My Soulmate

Back in August, Nathan and I were up late at night on facebook chatting about the good ol' days. He asked me if I had any pictures from those days and I certainly do. He said, "Well, then make me an album. NOW." And then he slapped me really hard. Seriously!

Okay, so making up ridiculous lies is an old past time we enjoyed. Dumb but we weren't complete without it!

I used a 9x9 BoBunny chipboard album so that the pages could be interactive. I attached everything with Scotch quick dry glue. I mostly used TH Lost and Found, several lines from Sassafras, and some Best Creations for this album.

The cover. The stitching is a rub on by DCWV. Tiny type, Thickers, and rub ons for the title. The flowery flourish is a clear sticker by AC. The "Soul Mates" ephemera is Crafty Secrets. Pebbles and bling by Prima and the brad is 7 Gypsies.

First LO for my dear Nathan. This one is about how we met. Basically, I scared him and we were connected at the hip for years after that. He asked for an album with a rustic vintage music theme. We were music majors together in college. I used pp from TH, CI, and Paper Studio. The snare drum charm is by Karen Foster. The pullout tag is MME adorned with Daisy Ds ribbon, for him to do his own journaling. I finished by stuffing my LO with a rub on and a few brads. It's a rule.

Page 2. That fingering chart from Sassafras is an OBOE fingering chart! The quote card is removable to allow more space for journaling.

I cut this shape from Accent Essentials, covered the stamp with Crackle Accents.

Page 3. I was inspired by DYnKYI used black glimmer mist with a screen for the background. Red pp is MME. Coke bottle pp is TH. Oboe fingering chart paper is Sassafras. Lots of rub ons and brads. The clock is cut from TH paper. Swing the photo anchors to remove the oboe art and reveal a journaling block. I also journaled around the MME pp. "Friends" is stamped with archival ink. The flower is from Stephanie (Stars N Sparkles).

Page 4. More misting and masking. We loved to share meals and we loved to spend alot of time arguing about what to eat.

Page 5. We spent one spring break together. We went to the beach. We went shopping. And we went to the Roaring 20's Pizza and Pipes. I still have the menu but it wasn't usable for this album. I took pictures of the menu and edited/cropped in iPhoto so it works like ephemera on this LO.

Page 6. I was inspired by Ginger Williams. I cut a musical mask from Hannah Montana and used red GM. "camp" is rub on letters. I love the tissue tape by TH!

GM'd the butterfly so it has some sparkle. I used Accent Essentials to cut this bass playing frog from TH paper.

Page 7. PP are DCWV and TH. Hinges are Daisy D's. The photo mat is a door that swings on the hinges to reveal hidden journaling.

Page 8. We loved celebrating holidays together and made a big-to-do about everything. I've got a crazy mix of christmas, sassafras, and TH going here! Did some doodling the edge of the LO.

Embossed with green tinsel.

Page 9. I was inspired by Kresta's digital LO. I found this fun music paper by Best Creations in San Antonio. Mixed it with some Sassafras here. The Lincoln quote is a stamp by Fiskars. Nathan definitely put lots of good life in my years!

Page 10. Okay, I started with a sketch from somewhere but can't remember. If you recognize it, let me know. I loved that I had that duck strip from Sassafras in my stash! PERFECT! I had a small obsession with ducks in college.

Page 11 is MIA.

Page 12. I used a sketch from the Nov 2010 pagemaps. When I was digging for papers, this lined paper by BG totally spoke to me. I could cover this final page in journaling! And I most certainly did. It was a great way to squeeze in more thoughts that didn't go with previous pages.
