Whimsy Inspirations Magazine Issue No. 2 (Reminder)

Have you checked out the magazine yet? So many great creations to see!

My Contribution: Altered CD Case

Anne altered a CD cover into a card and I definitely wanted to try something similar. While I was thinking about how I wanted to do mine, I decided to make it a mini album.

Papers from Gabrielle by BoBunny.

This embellished square is by Raindrop Echo Designs for Whimsy Stamps. I used shimmering chalks by Pebbles Inc for color and cut out.

Butterfly punch by Fiskars, topped with pearls and stickles.

Lotus-lookin' flower by Stephanie. Gemmed flowers are Petaloo and sprayed with glimmer mist.

Inside view, standing.

Inside view, laying flat.

Printed the blank embellished square and filled with a rub on sentiment by Fancy Pants.

Pleated trim by Pink Paislee.

Die cut from Storybook, topped with glimmer mist.

My favorite corner punch. This corner is foam dotted to allow room for photos.

Just a row of sparkly gems.

The back.

Thanks for stopping by!

just a note *Whimsy Stamps*

I made this card for the challenge blog this week. There's still time to play and win prizes!

The flowers are by Natalie and the sentiment is by Raindrop Echo Designs for Whimsy Stamps. I also did this card for Amber's Crop Chocolate Focus Group Challenge. I had to use four items that I bought from Crop Chocolate. Papers (3 different pieces) from Obscure by BG. Butterfly from Paper Reverie by MM. Ribbon from Passport by MM. Stick pin from Chloe's Closet by MM. Followed a sketch by Mojo Monday.

Digi is colored with Loew-Cornell pencils. Check my tutorials label on the L for coloring help.

I've ignored this Obscure paper for quite some time but never purged it and you know I'm the queen of purge. I thought it worked out really well on this card. I'm certainly looking at it with new perspective.

Popcorn the Bear for Father's Day

I love Popcorn the Bear by Crafter's Companion.  They are sold in a rubber sheet set, making them cheap. $7 for a set or less. You do have to cut out the stamps from the rubber. Some like to mount their stamps using EZ mount or mounting to a woodblock. I just use repositionable adhesive with a clear block.

Papers from Little Boy by Echo Park that I got for a sweet price from Crop Chocolate. Loosely followed a sketch by Mojo Monday.

Colored with Stampin Up and Derwent watercolor pencils. I use good paintbrushes for blending, can't stand the waterbrushes.

Ain't that li'l ducky cute?!!  He was stamped twice so that I could layer him and he wouldn't feel left out.
