boy of mine

I was a wild scrappin' woman over the weekend. I got THREE layouts done. Count 'em: THREE. It usually takes me three months to do three layouts.

I followed a sketch from Pagemaps for the Feb 15 Sketch Challenge over at Paper Secrets. I nearly ruined the whole concept by printing my photos at 3 inches. But, I made it work. The papers are from Fabrications by Theresa Collins. I used papers from both "Linen" and "Canvas." I always appreciate a wonky color scheme.

The ruler is a rub on by October Afternoon. The scalloped die cut is from Plantin Schoolbook. I used Diamond Stickles on the purple-y paper. And what would an Alissa-layout be without a few brads?

The title tag is from My Mind's Eye. I trimmed the edges to make it fit. "I can explain" is a sticker from Retrobot by Reminisce.

I cut a journaling tag by October Afternoon in three pieces to use as captions under the photos. See how the alien just ties my whole layout together? I knew you'd understand.

I loved this detail in the sketch. I used some cardstock stickers, twine, and eyelets to recreate the look.

Thanks for stopping by!
